Silicon Valley Bank today announced that it has appointed Wibke Pendse as Managing Director of Private Equity Finance and Banking for the UK.
Wibke joins the UK branch from Silicon Valley Bank's headquarters in California
where she was responsible for managing an extensive portfolio of private equity
client relationships.
In Wibke's new role, she
will lead the growth of the Private Equity Finance and Banking business in the
UK, offering private equity and venture capital firms a range of banking and
finance services, including capital strategies and solutions, global banking
and rich industry connections and insights. In addition to expertise in the
innovation sector, SVB's Private Equity Finance and Banking team works with
firms investing in all sectors, and geographies, such as Scottish Equity
Partners (SEP), Accel KKR and SilverLake
Partners. SVB banks more than 1,200 private equity and venture capital firms in
the US, Europe and Asia.
Wibke brings more than 10
years' experience banking private equity and venture capital firms. Prior to
joining SVB in the US in 2010, Wibke was Vice President
of Venture Capital Services at Square 1 Bank. She was also Assistant Vice President of Equity Fund Services at Comerica Bank in
the US, responsible for managing a loan portfolio and developing private equity
client relationships.
